Occupational Therapy
Children & Youth
Nature Connected Occupational Therapy integrates evidence-informed occupational therapy approaches with nature-inspired strategies to support growing independence and meaningful participation in everyday activities such as self-care, learning, and play.

Centered on children’s lived experiences, nature connected occupational therapy fosters social-emotional skills, physical literacy, and ecological awareness through movement, play, and connection with nature.
Interventions may include direct or indirect contact with nature including outdoor play-based sessions, animal-assisted interactions, nature-based metaphor and imagery, or immersive virtual experiences.

Therapy should be engaging- and yes, even fun!
If your child is struggling with big emotions, anxiety, sensory challenges, or difficulty coping with everyday demands, nature-connected occupational therapy can make a meaningful difference.

Children build skills best when they are actively engaged. Through nature’s regulating presence, interaction with animals, and activities that gently expose children to challenges, therapy becomes hands-on, motivating, and meaningful. As children participate, they learn to self regulate, problem-solve and adapt, build confidence and develop GRIT!
