The NatureBrain Approach
Biomimicry offers an empathetic, interconnected understanding of how life works and, ultimately, shines a light on where we fit in. It is about valuing nature for what we can learn, not what we can extract, harvest, or domesticate. In the process, we learn about ourselves, our purpose, and our connection to each other and our home on earth. (The Biomimicry Institute, 2023)

The NatureBrain Approach
The NatureBrain approach draws upon nature’s intelligence and the practice of biomimicry to apply nature’s strategies to social emotional learning processes and the development of psychological resilience.
We focus on three key elements that shape healthy habits of mind and behavior associated with nature’s strategies for resilience:
Nature (re)Connection
Self Regulation
Sensemaking
These interconnected elements forge pathways to psychological resilience by helping children and adolescents to adapt to change and build their capacity to grow and develop in sustainable ways - like nature- that enable their health and wellbeing. over the long term. This hinges upon the development of social emotional skills and psychological resilience.
